Possiblewomanfoundation.org - The American Association of University Women's Selected Professions Fellowships provides four different grants to women with bachelor's degrees who want to further their education by earning a master's degree in select fields.
AAUW offers between $5,000 and $20,000 (depending on the grant) to women attending graduate school in law and medicine, architecture, math and statistics, or engineering. The scholarships offered are based on the field's earning potential and in areas where women are traditionally underrepresented. The fields are successful financially, which ensures that once the applicant finishes her advanced degree program and enters the work place, she will likely find a well-paying job.
Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents. The opportunities and rewards for the Selected Professions Fellowships vary and depend on the money available for each particular fellowship. The types of grants and areas of study are chosen by a selected committee from within the AAUW organization.
