There is something very interesting about being on air, defying gravity and all.

Others want to do the flying.
If you are one of those people, understand that it all starts on learning how to become a pilot.
Being Sure of It First There are several things which you will have to do to know how to become a pilot.
But first, you need to look deep within yourself and be certain with this career move.
Even if this has been your dream since you were two, remember that the road to flying is a long and tortuous one.
Choosing a Specific Career Path Learning how to become a pilot, and being successful in that regard, does not mean that you can fly any kind of plane.
You have to know first what kind of pilot you want to be.
Are you thinking of becoming a commercial pilot, flying 747s and in charge of a couple of hundred or so people? Have you been dreaming of being in control of those fighter jets? Or do you just want to be a pilot because you inherited a Cessna from your grandfather and you'd like to try it out? Studying How to Become a Pilot It is quite important to start out with these because the education, training and licensure that you need to undergo for each career path is different.
Sure, you would have to finish a four-year aviation course in a college or university first but after that, the road (and what you need to do) will fork into several paths.
If you want to be a commercial flight pilot, for instance, you would have to train for a certain number of hours in a specific environment.
It is also very different when you want to join the military, obviously.
The license you get will be different too.
Cost and Duration of How to Become a Pilot Now this is something that will perk your ears up more.
As we have mentioned earlier, the road on how to become a pilot is long and challenging.
Because of that, you might also have to spend so much as well.
Besides the four years in school, you would have to spend about 40 hours of flight time as your actual training.
But you will have to add 3 to 4 more hours to each hour (40x3=120) for preparation, a bit of reading and other things that your instructor would ask you to do.
And do take note that that is only the minimum! Check out the tuition fee of different schools offering aviation courses.
You see, the rates differ greatly so we really cannot come up with an average.
However, the training in itself will probably cost thousands of dollars.
Again, that's at a minimum.
If you spend more time in training, you will spend more too.
But don't worry too much about the cost.
After all, you will be earning double or triple of what you have spent once you are flying.
If you really do not have enough, determination and a good school which offers a scholarship will be able to help you.
