103 37
Children are going to misbehave.
This is something that is programmed into the genes of a child.
They are discovering how far they can push until you have had enough.
They need to know their boundaries and know when they have been crossed.
Punishing your children is a delicate process.
There are many tricks to the punishment that you need to be aware of: 1.
The Stare- By simply staring at your children in an angry way often does the trick to get the child's attention.
The stare can make a child act the way you want on the fear that they will be seriously in trouble if they refuse to do as you say.
2.
Raise your voice- Don't shout at your child.
Show control in your voice and make it a little louder to get your child's attention.
By following this step, your child will know that you are upset by the tone in your voice.
The tone is to be absent of anger.
If you are angry take a moment to calm down.
3.
Smack on the butt- This is not meaning to beat your children.
A simple smack on the bottom is information enough to let your child know they have misbehaved.
Anything more is only warranted if the child continues to do the action you told them not to do.
Other punishments require other tactics.
Parenting is never an easy task but there are people in the world that can help.
If you are constantly saying "Don't Bite the cat!" or "Put that knife down!" there is an issue with the parenting and needs to be corrected.
By following the steps above, you gain a sense of accomplishment and pride.
You can know that you have tried the punishments and that your child is well behaved.
There is always speculation that a child can be a "bad seed".
That no matter what you do to a child, they are going to disobey you.
In these rare cases it is hard to use firm discipline because of the moods that children often have.
Remember to keep strong in your efforts.
