With all the hype around the buzzword "Global Warming", the scientists all over the world have been raising hue and cry regarding the negative impact of the use of greenhouse gases on temperatures in different regions of the world. Unimaginable abnormalities are being observed in the weather patterns with every passing day as the human beings continue to burn fossil fuels without giving heed to the irrational repercussions of such activities for the human race. Despite a number of efforts being pursued by various organizations and individuals who believe in preserving the environment for future generations, the situation is getting adverse with every passing day.

The inordinate increase in the temperatures is resulting into hurricanes, snow storms, tornadoes, famines, severe heat waves, delayed rainfalls and numerous other disastrous weather events. This situation alarmed lots of science enthusiasts and environmentalists in the world who feel that some remedial action has to be taken with regard to the outrage being perpetrated by the mankind. I couldn't restrain myself as the scientist-cum-environmentalist in me coerced me to switch into investigative mode. I began exploring such a weather application for my iPhone which could help me sift through the weather records of all the seven continents on Earth for the last century.

My efforts did not go to waste as I was able to come across the best free weather app for iPhone and iPad: WeatherMate. The app had a tremendous built-in feature that enabled the users to track weather history of any place in the world at any specified time. My excitement knew no bounds since I had discovered such a useful information resource so comfortably. My intention was to collate data pertinent to temperatures in various geographical locations over the past 50 years. What I thought could have been a humongous task of going through huge volumes of bulky documents was rendered extremely easy by the intensely user-friendly WeatherMate which contained extensive archives of weather history.

This app not only gives the environmentalists access to decades-old weather records but also provides them with the most accurately retrieved data. The data can be accessed by the user through an attractive graphical user interface that also provides a number of interpretive and descriptive tools. The historical set of data may used for a number of different purposes. The app itself brings the weather data into use by predicting the weather for any worldwide location. Do you want to try your new Mate?
