Mirrors can add a lot of ambiance to a centerpiece. They help to reflect light, and also to reflect the images and colors of the rest of your decor to bring everything together at the table for your guests. There are many ways that you can use mirrors in a table centerpiece. - Create a serene and romantic centerpiece with the warm glow of candles over a mirror with a fresh bouquet at the center of the arrangement. Lay a frameless mirror in the center of the table and scatter flower petals over it. Place votive candles, or small pillar candles in clear glass holders around the mirror. Place a vase of fresh flowers in the center of the candles. The flowers and candles will appear as if they are floating on a small reflection pond.
- Create a Thanksgiving or fall-themed centerpiece to display the vegetables of the season in a decorative and classy way. Place a square framed mirror on the center of the table and scatter a few fall leaves over it. Use an old mirror with chipped or cracked paint on the frame for a country effect. Decorate the center of the mirror with a combination of squash, miniature pumpkins and zucchini.
- Dress a long dining or buffet table with an equally long centerpiece to balance out your decor. Place a floor-length dressing mirror with a nice frame in the center of your table. Place five to seven large three-wicked candles on the mirror. Space them evenly along the length of the mirror. Scatter some dried potpourri to somewhat cover the bare areas.
