How-To Slytherin Scarf
The houses at Hogwarts have a couple of different patterns of scarves, one with alternating chunks of color, and another with small bars of accent color. Good thing they're both easy to make.
ch = chain sc = single crochet
I suggest using Super Value Forest Green and Gray. Mostly because they cost just a few bucks.
Scarf #1: The younger witches and wizards wear scarves with large chunks of color.
- Start with green. ch 40 for a nice, thick scarf.
- sc 12 rows of green
- change color to gray yarn
- sc 12 rows of gray
- change color back to to green yarn
- Repeat 2-5 until you've made your scarf as long as you like it. End the scarf with a 12 row sc of green so that the ends look the same.
Scarf #2: The Slytherin scarf for older kids has a pattern of two small silver lines on a field of green. This free crochet pattern will show you how to make a quick and simple Slytherin scarf.
Start with the green yarn.
- ch 40 for a nice, thick scarf.
- sc 12 rows of green
- change color to gray yarn and sc 2 rows
- sc two rows of green
- sc two rows of gray again
- Repeat 2-5 until you've made your scarf as long as you like it. End the scarf with a 12 row sc of green so that the ends look the same.
