  The Maytag Performa clothes washer model number PAV2300AWW WW of the P series is no longer available to be purchased new, according to the Maytag website. Commonly used in the home the PAV2300 Maytag P series washer is an oversize capacity washer with a number of standard features including a 2-speed motor with four water levels and 10 different cycles.
  
  

Physical Attributes

• Outside measurements of the Maytag Performa P series washer are 27 inches width, 27 inches depth and 53 1/2 inches in height. This top-loading washer has rear self-leveling legs that adjust by at least 1/2 inch to allow for uneven floors. The entire unit weighs 136 pounds. Place the washer within 4 feet of the water supply and 5 feet of the waste water disposal outlet. Control of the Maytag Performa P series washer is accomplished by three dials mounted on a vertical panel on the top of the machine toward the back. The dials are used in connection with each other to control the various wash cycles and water levels/temperatures.
  
  

Wash Features

• With a rugged six-point suspension system in addition to a dual-action agitator as standard features, the Maytag Performa P series washer has the capacity to tackle larger loads. The polymer washtub is chip-resistant, rustproof and won't snag clothes, according to the Maytag Laundry brochure. Included in the different wash cycles is one for warm rinse, one for delicates, one for hand-washables, one for permanent press and a super wash option. There is a fabric dispenser, a bleach dispenser and an auto detergent dispenser. The Maytag Performa P series washer has four different water temperature combinations and also features a four-level water control.
  
  

L Series

• The Maytag Performa L series washer comes in two different models, the LAT2500 2-speed 13 cycle and the LAT3500 3-speed combo 17 cycle. The L series has the same standard features as listed above for the Performa P series with additional features. The LAT2500 and LAT3500 feature a porcelain tub as opposed to the polymer tub of the P series. They both have an extra rinse cycle in addition to infinite water levels. The LAT3500 also includes 3 outboard speed combinations and a soak only cycle. The Maytag Performa L Series washers are also no longer available to be purchased new, according to the Maytag website.
