Coach Greasy Neale helped to bring about the first NFL championship for the Eaglees in 1948. Neale was instrumental in the amazing average for the Eagles of 26.5 and 14.7. Neale went on to coach until 1950, when he finished his stint with the Eagles with a score of 63-45. He had a strong influence on the team and after his retirement, the next 7 years saw not more than 36 wins under 4 coaches.
Today, the Philadelphia Eagles have come a long way from its initial years with Andy Reid being the coach who has seen the team go through 118 wins, which is the highest in the history of the team. Eighteen playoff games were also won under him, another record in Philadelphia Eagles' history.
