How to Get Rid of Brown Spots on a Dooney & Bourke Purse
- 1). Soak a bar of mild soap in water until the surface softens. Set the soap on a folded paper towel. Wet the end of a toothbrush, and rub the bristles over the soap. Some of the softened soap transfers to the toothbrush.
- 2). Scrub the brown spots on the purse in gentle circles, making sure not to press down too hard, and leave a mark. Periodically rinse off the toothbrush, and reapply more soap as you clean the purse. Repeat until you scrub away all the brown spots.
- 3). Rinse off all the soap from the toothbrush. Gently wipe away the excess soap residue left on the purse with a soft cloth that's slightly dampened with water. Wipe the area completely clear to avoid lingering watermarks or soap scum.
