Inspiration for the Entrepreneur
Plain and simple.
After the eve of the bubble burst, the internet is once again the place to be.
With words like Adsense, affiliate marketing and CPM internet entrepreneurs and webmasters alike flock to get a piece of the pie.
And from those many there are a handful few big guys (or girls).
These few have mastered their arena and serve as an example for the rest of us.
Yes, we would never say no to a six-figure MONTHLY residual income, but those of us who are truly entrepreneurs see it as a guarantee.
We know that if they can do it, so can we.
One of these big guys is Lee Dodd of forumtrends.
com.
Listen, Learn and Enjoy.
Name: Lee Dodd Age: 27 What do you do?: I run an online media company that operates a large network of websites and online communities.
Your Business Name: Zydeca Media Group Plug your current project: Less than 3 months ago, I started a new online community, www.
earnersforum.
com for money makers to discuss the myriad of way to profit online and how to do it the "right" way.
It has been a huge success growing to over 3,500 members and 50,000 posts in the first 10 weeks.
Was it your first project? If not, what was?: My first project is no longer online.
It had to do with a non-profit organization that specialized in child safety education.
Why become an entrepreneur?: I do it for the enjoyment of my work, being able to work at an office behind our home, and for having the time and flexibility to enjoy my family.
> Who would you consider your role model?: I aim to emulate Jesus Christ and him alone.
I have mentors that help me in numerous ways, but Christ alone holds the position of "role model" in my life.
Biggest Hurdle?: I guess it would have to be the ups and downs in the online advertising market.
You just have to know that the income you are achieving today might be dramatically different tomorrow.
Has anyone helped you along the way? Who would you consider your mentor?: I don't really have an internet business mentor.
What keeps you going?: My drive to provide for my family and my love for this type of work.
What do you wish you would have done differently?: I wish I would have jumped in to this sooner and not waited until 2004.
There have been a few bad decisions along the way, but I learned from them (I hope) and continue to make strides towards my goals.
What are your future ambitions?: To share what I have learned, help others to succeed, provide a stable business that can employ others, and provide for my family.
Any general advice for the up and comers?: Work hard, read plenty, and hang in there! And oh yeah, give us a number($XXX,XXX)?: In 2006, the average monthly income has been low $xxx, xxxOk, now get to work!
