What kind of people and what age bracket is ideal for your fundraising products? You cannot sell kids something that doesn't have any appeal to them.
You need to clearly define and describe the kind of people your volunteers need to approach in order for them to successfully sell your products.
You can also ask your volunteers to make a list of their best prospects before the start of your events since the people closes to us will definitely help us no matter what.
Take advantage of this and make sure your volunteers can sell them to their loved ones first before letting them sell to the community.
This will let them experience what it is like to sell without any pressure at all.

They can use this as a stepping stone and become more motivated to work harder.
You can also use a buddy system in which you are going to partner your senior volunteer with a junior so that volunteer trainees can also learn from other people.
