Troubleshooting an LG DLE0332W Electric Dryer
- 1). Connect the power cord on the LG dryer to a functional outlet if the dryer does not work and there is power to nearby appliances. Replace or reset the circuit breaker or fuse if more than one appliance has lost power or the dryer is already plugged into an outlet.
- 2). Push “Rack Dry” and “Antibacterial” key pads at the same time for 2 seconds if there is power to the machine but none of the key pads work, which means the control lock is active. Wait for a single beep to indicate the lock is released.
- 3). Measure load sizes according to the amount of space the load consumes in the dryer, not the overall weight of the load, if the dryer is getting overloaded and vibrating or thumping as a result. The dryer should be no more than three-quarters full when loaded. Make changes to the dryer feet if the load size is moderate, but the dryer is still shaking or making loud noises, so that the leveling legs are even on the floor.
- 4). Avoid adding dry items in with wet ones if clothes end up with greasy spots. Clean out the lint screen if lint is left on items after drying, and empty pockets of any items, including tissue or papers, that might tear and shred during the drying process.
- 5). Reduce overall drying time if clothes have a lot of static when the cycle is done, and sort items by fabric type. Include a fabric softener sheet for reduced static.
- 6). Check the outside exhaust vent for excess lint if the loads take a long time to dry, and clean out the vent, as well as the lint screen. Contact a service professional if the exhaust vent duct is crushed or obstructed.
- 7). Put a few more items in the dryer if there are only a couple of pieces that do not dry well or thump around the drum. Include items of mixed sizes for improved tumbling.
