How to Make a Cylinder Costume
- 1). Measure the desired circumference and length of the cylinder costume. For most people, this will be the measurement between the shoulders and the knees, and the widest part of the body. Add 2 inches to the circumference measurement.
- 2). Cut a piece of foam equaling the measurement from Step 1. Connect the two sides of the cylinder to make one seamless piece of foam. Use hot glue to hold the two ends together. Hold the two sides together with clothespins while the glue dries.
- 3). Cut out two arm holes in either side of the costume for the person to place their arms through.
- 4). Decorate the costume as desired. Wear long sleeves and pants under the costume that match the theme of the costume. You can also make a small cylinder for a hat, if the costume calls for it.
