While at the Bon-Jour Café, Viki was held by gun point by Marcie McBain, who had been finally corned by Todd Manning. Due to the media involvement on the scene, Viki’s life as a waitress was discovered and her true identity unmasked. Viki also knew it was time to return to her home in Llanview, but at the same time was missing Charlie. After returning to Llanview, Viki made an unexpected visit to Dorian’s home, and it was Charlie who opened the door.

After, her initial shock of finding Charlie at Dorian’s, she immediately, in front of Dorian, invited Charlie to come live with her at Llanfair. Unfortunately Dorian at the moment has the upper hand over Viki since she knows the secret Charlie has to keep from Viki, even though Charlie feels bad he can’t reveal the truth to her.

Viki found out the truth Charlie was keeping from her and was shocked by what she heard but as time moved on, Viki forgave him and soon married. His son Jared and her daughter, Natalie also married but not long. Charlie finds himself mixed up in a plot to find Mitch Lawrence to even the score for killing Jared. Charlie began drinking again to deal with the pain and made a pact with Dorian to “even the score” against Mitch. Charlie fired his gun at Mitch but Dorian stepped in and he accidently shot Jessica. Although Jessica lived, she suffered memory loss and thinks she is eighteen again. The retaliation plot with Dorian and the medical condition of her daughter leaves Viki heartbroken and angry.

She decides soon after that she and Charlie should separate while she spends time in London. Viki has decided to give her marriage to Charlie another chance. She is supporting his decision to work for Dorian Lord Cramer as her architect. Clint arrives in the middle of the night looking for Jessica on prom night. They discover that she is with Brody and her memory has returned!

Viki and Charlie are thrilled to learn of Jessica’s pregnancy! She and Charlie take credit that Dorian and David planned to marry after hatching a scheme. However, when David leaves Dorian at the altar, Dorian accuses Viki of gloating. Viki is not amused when longtime rival (and Charlie’s ex-lover), Echo DiSavoy appears and wants her job back at 'The Banner'. Viki tossed Echo out for encroaching on their marriage. Charlie fled to Echo after learning Rex was not their son together. Tess resurfaced to keep Jessica’s son Ryder from the Buchanans. Viki later bared witness to Dorian’s marriage to David and after Tess sends her an incriminating photo, Viki catches Charlie and Echo in bed and cuts him loose. With the appearance of her alters, Viki loses custody of Ryder to Joey and his wife, Aubrey. Dorian relinquished information about Echo to Viki. After leaving the tape with Charlie, Viki walks out as Echo desperately tries to salvage her relationship with Charilie. Charlie is unable to forgive Echo, and after ending his marriage with Viki, leaves Llanview.

Through it all, Viki has prevailed through incredible life-changing experiences and yet always manages to find happiness on the other side. Viki remains to be one of the most respected citizens of Llanview, Pennsylvania.
