Find out some must-dos to foil the plans of home invaders. Use stash cans to hide money and valuables right out in plain sight scattered throughout your home.

What to Do to Prevent Robberies and Why to Hide Money in Stash Cans

It's been more than 20 years that I have been actively looking for reasons and strategies behind criminal activities, such as burglary, robbery and home invasions. Most burglaries take place in the quiet hours between 1 to 5 am in the morning. However, robbers tend to disguise themselves as ordinary service men such as the cable guy, some as watchmen or even plumbers to be easily allowed into homes during normal business hours. Such strategies of stealing inspired me to introduce stash cans or as some people know them as can safes which can be used to hide money and valuables.

Use these Simple Tips to Foil Criminals' Strategies and Hide Money in can safes to prevent loss of valuables.

In order to remain a step ahead of home invaders and foil their plan, you can use the following tips. However, do not forget to use stash cans to hide money and valuables that you do not want to or cannot afford to lose:

Get a chain latch

Get a labyrinth maze combination chain latch in your doors. This kind of chain latch in the main doors allows you to talk to the visitor one-on-one without letting them enter the house. Make a call to the service center, company or super market from where the visitor has been send (before opening the door completely) to ensure that it is not a robber in disguise.

Install a peephole

Install a peephole in your main door to be able to see who is standing on the other side of the door with having to open the main door. While the house owner would be able to see the person standing outside, the visitor cannot peep in through the lens. If the visitor appears to be unfamiliar or comes across as unimportant, do not open the door at all.

However, unfortunately, there are home invaders who are clever enough to break and enter houses through windows and rooftops.

In order to hide money and other secret stash in such events, you can use our stash cans. Our diversion safes have been designed to resemble ordinary household items, such as a soda can, booksafe, peanut butter jar, Oreo cookie tub and shaving foam as well as many other can safe. The thief will most likely ignore these stash cans and you can easily save your precious jewelry, monthly spending money and other secret stash.
