Dr. Ben Carson, Black Patriot, Black Hope
Retired pediatric neurosurgeon Benjamin Solomon €Ben€ Carson, Sr. saved countless lives and performed €medical miracles€ during his 39 years at Johns Hopkins University Hospital.
The recipient of 38 honorary doctorate degrees and dozens of national merit citations, Dr. Carson was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President George W. Bush in 2008, is a member of the American Academy of Achievement and the Horatio Alger Association of Distinguished Americans and, two years after receiving America's highest civilian honor, he was elected to the National Academy of Sciences Institute of Medicine.
Despite his exemplary life and multiple achievements, this man who dedicated his career to saving and improving the lives of children, surely added his name to President Barack Hussein Obama's sh*t list in February and probably rocketed to the top of that enemy list this week.
On February 7th, Dr. Carson was the keynote speaker at the 2013 National Prayer Breakfast in Washington and delivered a speech which obviously made the president uncomfortable if not infuriated since virtually everything he said was critical of Obama's most near and dear social and economic policies, especially his disastrous Affordable Care Act.
With the president seated on the same stage, Dr. Carson ripped into Obamacare and, by inference its chief proponent. In a common-sense speech laced with humor and Christian religious allusions, he criticized governmental involvement in medicine and lectured Obama on economics, fiscal responsibility, our astronomical national debt and our unprecedented budget deficits. He also strongly criticized political correctness, American education, and oppressive taxation.
Predictably, Carson was soundly bashed in Obama's mainsteam media for his temerity in lecturing Obama and disparaging the essence of the president's pet beliefs and failures, although the attacks were thinly cloaked behind a facade of liberal indignity over his use of a prayer breakfast to vent his conservative opinions because, well, because libs ae very prayerful people.

In April, he further angered liberals when he characterized them on €The Mark Levin Show€ as €the most racist people there are. You know, they put you in a little category, a little box - you have to think this way. How could you dare come off the plantation?€ this after comparing gay marriage to bestiality and pedophilia a week earlier.
Those views may have incensed Obamians but Dr. Carson truly went over the edge when, after pointing out Obamare's inherent hypocrisies, he opined at the 2013 Values Voter Summit in Washington, D.C., €You know, Obamacare is really I think the worst thing that has happened in this nation since slavery. In courageously expressing his honest, straightforward views on the sorry state of America today, Dr. Benjamin Carson has not only established himself as an articulate spokesman for conservative principles but has elevated himself to the position of Obama Enemy #1 on the president's hit list.
I just hope he's watching his back, both figuratively and literally.
