Your Child"s Success Is Up To You
The question to all the parents out there is "Do you want you child to succeed?".
This is a rhetorical question because the answer is a resounding YES.
Then you must make the tough choices when it comes to encouraging your child to try different activities that promote creative thinking.
Get them off the video games and into something that will promote physical and mental health.
You must not assume the role of a parent not as a friend.
As the parent you must persevere and not be led astray by your child's inconsistencies and whims.
They will test you when you are the weakest, when you've come home from a hard day at work, or when you and your spouse had an argument.
They are masters of manipulation, and it starts when they are very young.
Don't give in...
The number one activity that covers the success model is martial arts.
It is the only activity that cover the human personality traits such as discipline, focus, coordination, memory, balance, teamwork, control, and fitness.
Karate is the only sport that covers all of these traits.
Additionally it is the only activity that is consistent through a person life.
My teacher is 75 years of age and his teacher is 88 years of age and still going strong.
Participation in the martial arts is attainable way into your later years of life.
All the other sports, such as, baseball, soccer, football only last through a certain span of your lifetime and eventually you must retire from those sports.
Like all activities, in your child's life, their will be ebbs and flows.
They will test your resolve at times.
They will eventually will come to you and state "I want to quit".
Do not let them quit, this will become a teaching moment, discuss commitment and perseverance and the reasons why they can't quit.
If you let them quit it WILL become a habit that is not easily correctable and you will see a pattern though out their lives of giving up on things, all the way through adulthood.
I have had parents who have children ages 3-6 tell me their kid want to quit.
I say, "Who is the parent you or them" inevitably they say "I am the parent", so tell your child they can't quit.
You are doing this in their best interest.
Too, many parents these days are reluctant to tell their kids they can't quit.
This is something that boggles my mind.
If you encourage your children o succeed they will become champions.
