With his starring role on CBS' Community,Chevy Chase has finally made a big career come-back. When his career took off in the 1970's while he was young and starring on Saturday Night Live, everyone knew that with comedic talent like his, Chase would have a highly successful and long-running career. Although many have suggested that his decision to leave SNL after only one season was ignorant, he quickly became a popular star in many Hollywood movies. Yet his career hasn't always been smooth-sailing, and at times he has struggled with various endeavors. Here are some of his best films that you should watch if you haven't seen them yet. National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (1989) - Potentially the most classic Christmas comedy of all time, this is a must-see film that chronicles the struggles that one man, Clark Griswald, encounters one holiday season. He has to deal with all sorts of ridiculous, yet hilarious situations related to decorating his house, shopping for his family, interacting with unpleasant neighbors, preparing and carving a Christmas dinner, finding the perfect Christmas tree, figuring out how to spend his Christmas bonus, and dealing with all of the relatives that are visiting. Although everything is over-the-top to make it hilarious, most Americans can relate to many of the situations Chase's character is put into. This film can often be found on many satellite tv channels during the Holiday season and is the perfect comedy to sit down and watch with your whole family.

2. Fletch (1985) - This film tells the story of an investigative reporter who gets caught up in a big story without realizing it. Because Chase played an investigative reporter, he was able to dress up in many costumes and take on many personas, which is what makes the film so funny. Although the film is older so you can't watch all the stunts in high definition, you don't need to since you can stunts are still funny without being incredibly detailed. Chase was given quite a bit of comedic liberty in the film, and it really shows through. The director shot every scene twice so that they followed the script exactly how it was written once, and the second time Chase was allowed to improv his lines however he liked. National Lampoon's Vacation (1983) - The first installment in the highly successful National Lampoon series, this film follows the story of one family driving across the country to visit Wally World, a theme park that resembles Disney World. The family runs into all kinds of crazy situations that are bound to make you laugh. The Griswald family runs into many car troubles and family troubles, just to find that the theme park is closed when they finally arrive! With several channels that replay classic comedies, you're bound to find this one on satellite tv fairly often.
