How to Use an Unlocked E8900 Cell Phone on Verizon Wireless
- 1). Contact your original customer service provider. They must grant you permission to use your cell phone with the Verizon Wireless network. They grant the consent in providing you an IMEI number. Depending on your contract, they may provide a fee for this service.
- 2). Call Verizon Wireless. Ask the representative if your phone is compatible with the network. You need to find out before creating a service plan. Provide your phone's manufacturer and model number. Include your full name, street address, email address and the mobile number you want to use.
- 3). Wait for the SIM card to arrive in the mail. This could take between 7 and 10 days.
- 4). Turn off your cell phone. Push and slide up the protective cover from the back of it. Remove the battery and old SIM card. Replace it with the new Verizon SIM card, which Verizon Wireless will provide when starting a service plan with them.
- 5). Restart your cell phone. It will detect the Verizon SIM card and ask for authorization. Enter the IMEI number on the dial pad. Your phone will accept it and let you use the Verizon Wireless network.
