Each courthouse in New Jersey has an office of the clerk of the court whose staff is responsible for maintaining the official records of the courthouse. You can call the clerk's office and ask a staff member to provide you with the latest information on your case.

    • 3). The New Jersey court system has an online database for parties to research the case filings in their cases. You can access this resource with your name, docket number, attorney's name or the name of your judge.

    • 4). If all else fails, you can submit a written request for a status conference with the judge assigned to your case This request must be submitted to both the judge and the attorney for the other party in your case. The judge may hold a telephone status call or schedule an in-person conference to discuss your case.
