Strict Laws Against Pit bikes

Laws have been passed out against these pit bikes. These are laws that prevent these bikes to be used in public roads and freeways. Some countries and states implement these strict laws due to a rising number of accidents that occur from the use of these bikes on freeways and public roads. Here are some of the countries and states that implement these strict laws. Get caught and its either jail time or pay a huge fine.

Europe- These bikes have been strictly outlawed for use on roads and highways. An accident that still haunts the people in Europe, it was about the death of a 3 year old girl who was taken for a ride by her stepfather in a pit bike and they unfortunately collided with a pick-up truck causing the death of the 3 year old. That was the point where they became intensely strict with their laws pertaining to the use of these bikes on the streets. But years before the accident a huge campaign against the use of these pit bits was organized. They passed out flyers and announced to the public the dangers that may derive from using these bikes as street vehicles. They may only be used by professionals or novices in specially built bike circuits or privately owned lands in the countryside.

U.S.A- In the U.S. although there are some states that implement this law, these pit bikes are freely used by owners in public streets and freeways. If ever they violate the traffic law only a ticket is issued and no confiscation of the vehicle and no fines thus there are more accidents yearly that are caused by these bikes. Also these pit bikes are used irresponsibly by some teens, they would use it to jump of ramps, on to a lake or river, some even use it for bike jousting. That's why more accident occur by the misuse of these vehicles.
On the other hand there was a ban for the sale of these bikes in the U.S. due to traces of lead found in the bike that the government deemed unhealthy for children 12 below to use. A huge protest and rally was held to lift the ban saying that what they are saying are all allegations. As a protest some motocross professionals bought these banned products and made their children use them to cite that it is safe for kids to use.

Canada- In Canada these laws have been implemented strictly. They have passed a law making all pit bikes and mini motor bikes illegal to use in the streets. If ever someone is caught riding these bikes other than in proper the track circuits. You will be fined $5000 and your bike will be confiscated. Even if your bike possesses the proper safety requirements for road travel still they will deem it illegal for use on public roads and highways. You can only find and use these pit bikes on authorized pit bike circuits. So always be safe and follow the law you might just regret riding your bike on publics roads.
