Trying to Get Pregnant? Are You Having Infertility Problems?

103 35
There are a range of reasons for being unable to get pregnant and a variety of conditions that can affect your chances of conceiving.
If you are a woman trying to conceive then learning about your reproductive health is the first step in trying to get pregnant.
One of the most frustrating aspects of trying to get pregnant is the waiting for it to happen.
I hear you ask yourself "how long will it take?" On average the statistics indicate that 20% of couples will not conceive in the first year of trying.
One study indicates 25% of couples get pregnant in the first month of trying, 60% get pregnant within six months, and 75% get pregnant within nine months, while 80% get pregnant within a year.
However, there are a variety of factors to consider when trying to conceive.
If you are among the 20% who have been trying to get pregnant for a year and so far have not conceived, conventional advice would be to consult a fertility specialist.
However, if you are over the age of 40 this is to assess you and your partners' medical history and overall health.
If you and your partner have been trying to get pregnant chances are that well meaning people especially "mothers" and "mother-in-laws" have been giving you lots of advice.
Just because they are commonly held beliefs do not necessarily mean they are true or in fact useful.
But how do you decide what to believe.
You must have heard them all.
"When you come off the pill it will take you a while to conceive", "having too much sex can reduce your chances of getting pregnant", "certain positions increase the chance of conceiving", " I became pregnant once easily enough, so the next will be just as easy" and the list goes on...
Finding solid and useful information on fertility issues can be time consuming and daunting to say the least.
Natural and non-invasive methods may be hard to find.
Searching for tips and advice may prove to be contradicting.
Therefore, try to find somewhere where all this information is to hand in one place and in an easy to read format, without you having to become frustrated by hours and hours of endless searching around the internet.
Trying to get pregnant will then become the pleasure that it should be!
