How to Fold Up a Textbook Cover
- 1). Choose the paper you will use and lay it out flat. Brown paper provides a durable cover and can be obtained by cutting open a brown paper shopping bag so that it makes a sheet. Wrapping paper can be printed with the pattern of your choice, so this can be a fun choice. If using wrapping paper, lay the printed side down. Lay the book flat in the center of the paper.
- 2). Pull the paper along the bottom of the book to make a crease. Without moving the book, do the same to make a crease along the top of the book.
- 3). Remove the book and fold the paper cleanly along both creases. You should be left with a strip of the paper that is tall enough to cover the book from top to bottom.
- 4). Place the book back in the center of the paper. Pull the left side of the paper across the book and move the book until the left and right sides of the paper are even.
- 5). Fold the overlap of paper across the front cover of the book. Then insert the front cover of the book under the paper folded across the top and bottom. Repeat this process for the back cover of the book.
- 6). Use small pieces of tape across the top and bottom of both the front and back parts of the book cover to ensure the book fits snugly.
