Wedding Morning Checklist

104 26

    Attire

    • Be sure to transport the bridal gown, groom's tuxedo and any other bridal party participants' clothing in your possession to the ceremony site. Also be sure to include all accessories, veil, petticoat and undergarments such as your slip or corset.

    Emergency Kit

    • For piece of mind, prepare an emergency kit before the wedding day. Include toiletries such as makeup, feminine products, deodorant and perfume as well as a stain remover, extra pantyhose in case of tears, a small sewing kit and breath mints. Bring aspirin and any additional medicine that you may need. Also pack an umbrella so you don't end up in an unexpected downpour after you have finished getting ready.

    List of Telephone Numbers

    • Be sure that before the wedding you have saved all important numbers in your cell phone. Include every member of the bridal party, the officiant, the ceremony musician and every vendor.

    Vendor Paperwork and Itinerary

    • You do not want to wind up in the middle of a disagreement with a vendor on your wedding day. Be sure that you have every important document, including your contracts with vendors, receipts for all final payments and clear instructions for anything that may result in you being charged for overtime or overuse. For example, be sure that you have it in writing when you would like the open bar to end so you will not be paying for it after the time that you originally scheduled. Keep everything organized in an accordion file. Also create an itinerary of all of the wedding activities in 15-minute intervals or less. Be sure that you give a copy to the important vendors and your wedding planner.

    Legal Documents

    • Bring your marriage license to the ceremony site. If you will be traveling immediately after the reception, remember your airplane tickets, identifying documents and passports.

    Rings and Vows

    • Do not forget to give the best man and maid of honor the rings before the ceremony. Also bring a copy of your personal wedding vows even if you have them memorized. It is better to be overprepared in case you get anxious during the event.

    Officiant Payment

    • Be sure to prepare the payment for the officiant and any other vendors who will be paid the day of the wedding.

    Programs and Passes

    • Bring your ceremony programs or any other stationery, such as maps, that you have prepared for the wedding. If you have paid for parking in advance, be sure to bring any parking passes or stickers that were provided to you.

    Luggage

    • Pack your bags ahead of time and place them in the vehicle that you will be driving to the airport. Alternatively, have your luggage dropped off at your hotel if you will stay the night before the honeymoon.

    Guest Book and Pen

    • Bring your wedding guest book or photo mat to preserve your memories.

Something Old, New, Borrowed and Blue

    • Do not forget this important tradition. Plan which items you will use to represent each concept before the wedding so you will not have to find something last minute.
