How to Link Blogger & GoDaddy
- 1). Log in to the Blogger account. In the dashboard, select "Settings" beneath the blog you wish to link to GoDaddy.
- 2). Click the "Publishing" subcategory beneath the "Settings" tab. You will see an option to switch to custom domain. Select that option.
- 3). Click "Switch to Advanced Settings" because you already have a domain established through GoDaddy.
- 4). Enter your GoDaddy domain in the "Your Domain" section, click "yes" or "no" depending upon whether or not you want to utilize a missing files host (see resources for more info), and enter in the captcha image.
- 5). Click "Save Settings." This will create a redirect from your blog to the GoDaddy URL. If there are errors in your submission, you will be informed and prompted on how to fix the errors.
- 1). Log in to your GoDaddy account.
- 2). Select "Domain Manager" located under the "My Products" menu.
- 3). Determine which listed domain you'd like to use for your Blogger blog and click on the yellow "Nameserver" icon to set the nameservers.
- 4). Click the option to park the domain.
- 5). Click "OK" with each prompt (there will be two).
- 6). Navigate back to the Domain Manager page and select the domain that will serve as the Blogger page.
- 7). Click the hyperlink under the "Total DNS" section that reads "Total DNS Control."
- 8). Find the "CNAMES" section and select "edit" where the "www" record is located.
- 9). Verify that you want to edit the record by selecting "OK."
