Adapting Green Technology For Eco Sustainability
Importance of Sustainability
Sustainability is broadly divided as eco sustainability, social sustainability and economic sustainability. In the current scenario, India needs to adapt all three sustainability initiatives to be on the right path of success, but ecological sustainability is the most important. In layman terms, ecological sustainability is nothing but using the planet and the natural resources in a responsible manner so that we can share them with the next generations.
In India, the need of the hour is eco sustainability because the natural resources are being used up at an alarming rate and are quickly depleting. They need to be conserved so that the distribution between generations is just. Here are some few ways to conserve natural resources in the country.
Control the use of natural and non renewable energy resources like natural gas, diesel, petrol etc
Create alternate and renewable energy sources like solar energy, wind or hydro powered energy sources
Adapting Rain Water Harvesting to promote water conservation
Using electric or hybrid vehicles that run on biodiesel and ethanol gas, which leads to lesser pollution and is also easy on the pocket.
Using tree free paper made from bamboo or hemp, to control deforestation.
Using Green furniture in your home made from bamboo or harvested hard wood.
Another good way to promote sustainability in India are the CSR initiatives that are adapted by the corporate sector. India is among the leading nations to contribute towards innovation and technological development. Indian too is adapting the international Green Technology initiative, which is the next level of technology. The main aim of Greentech is to generating newer and cleaner renewable energy resources and inventing machinery that promotes sustainable living.
Greentech in Daily Life
Though Greentech is applied by the corporate structure, most of its initiatives can be used in daily life by the common man. Here are some Green technology initiatives that can be commonly used in the corporate sector as well as our daily lives.
Recycling waste to create a completely new product that can be used as raw material.
Planting potted plants in the house or in your surroundings will help in air r purification.
Recycling water, water purification or Rain water harvesting for consumption
Control the use of non-renewable energy resources like diesel and natural gas and adapt renewable energy resources like solar energy, turbine energy etc for fuel.
Using energy conservation devices like CFL lights.
Reusing, purifying and treating waste products for waste management.
Using material like bamboo, harvested hard wood, recyclable metal etc for construction and furnishing.
These small initiatives can make a huge difference and a strong impact for India to turn into a sustainable society.
