Decorate Doors

103 21
The front door of your home is the first and the last thing that visitors will see when they visit you.
You can make a good first impression on your guests and visitors by adding some beautiful yet inexpensive decorative touches to this area.
These decor pieces do not need to be elaborate or out of the ordinary.
Many times just one or two specially selected pieces that reflect your taste will go a long way in making a lasting impression.
By decorating the front doorway area and the door itself, you can lend a personal touch to your home and make your guests feel warm and welcome.
Whether you stay in an independent house, flat, or an apartment, you will have some sort of a walkway or a doorway leading up to your main door.
This is where you should start.
Shoes or a shoerack are a no-no for this area.
Instead, give the space some colour and character by adding some plants.
Opt for low-maintenance, sturdy plants if they won't be getting much sunshine in that area.
Layer the planters or the pots with gravel and white stones to add appeal.
Extend the nature theme to the door and drape a single vine around the doorframe.
If you stay in an independent home, there is a lot more you can do with this area.
Add a mural - you could choose Lord Ganesha or keep a neutral theme like a tree or a forest.
Otherwise, you could even hang up a painting keeping the wall colour in mind.
Another good idea is to make a collage of your children's drawings and paintings and put them up.
