How to Look at Texts When Your Phone Is Broken
- 1). Install the software that came with your SIM disk reader. Read and accept the User Agreement. Select a location that you would like to save the software.
- 2). Turn over your mobile phone. Remove the battery cover and battery. Locate the SIM card, which is similar to a computer microchip. Carefully remove it with your fingernail.
- 3). Insert the SIM card into the SIM disk reader USB connector. Plug the USB connector into an available USB port on your desktop computer or laptop. Look for the message in the lower right corner that your computer recognizes the device. It will then install the drivers.
- 4). Double-click the software icon. It will recognize your mobile phone's SIM card. The text messages will appear on your computer.
- 5). Click on the text you want to read. Press and hold "CTRL" and "ALT" to select more than one. Click on "Archive" to back up the messages to the software.
