Filming has begun in Vancouver on Revolution Studios' "Are We There Yet?," a comedy directed by Brian Levant and starring Ice Cube and Nia Long, it was announced today by Revolution Studios Partner Todd Garner. The film will be released by Columbia Pictures.

"Are We There Yet?" is being produced for Revolution Studios by Ice Cube and Matt Alvarez ("Barbershop 2," "Friday After Next," "All About the Benjamins") of CubeVision and Dan Kolsrud ("Daddy Day Care," "Mystery, Alaska," "L.A.

Confidential").

In the delightful road comedy "Are We There Yet?," a playboy bachelor's karma comes due -- just in time for the holidays. Nick (Ice Cube), a smooth operator, is trying to date Suzanne (Nia Long), a divorcee with whom he would like to ring in the New Year. Problem is Suzanne is stuck working in Vancouver and miserable because she misses her kids. Seizing the opportunity, Nick gallantly offers to make her New Year's wish come true -- and his own in the process -- by driving eight-year-old Kevin (Philip Bolden) and eleven- year-old Lindsey (Aleisha Allen) up from Portland, Oregon to be reunited with their mom. What Nick doesn't know is that Suzanne's children, whom he's never met, hate every man their mom dates on sight. Fasten your seat belts, it's going to be a bumpy ride.

"Ice Cube is a tremendous talent both in front of and behind the camera, and we are thrilled to be working with him on this hilarious film," said Revolution Studios' Garner. "With a great cast and creative and talented filmmakers, 'Are We There Yet?' is going to be an entertaining and exciting project for all of us."

Ice Cube will next be seen in "Torque" and "Barbershop 2," which he also produced. He will also star in the sequel to Revolution Studios' "XXX" and in the inspirational drama "Willie," both of which will begin production in 2004. His other feature credits include the "Friday" series, "Barbershop," "Three Kings," "Higher Learning" and "Boyz N the Hood."

Nia Long, who plays Suzanne, will next be seen in the remake of "Alfie." Her previous credits include "Big Momma's House," "Boiler Room," "The Best Man," "Soul Food" and "Boyz N the Hood."

"Are We There Yet?" co-stars Philip Bolden, ("Johnson Family Vacation," "The Animal," "Little Nicky," "Mystery Men") who plays Kevin, and Aleisha Allen ("School of Rock," "The Best Man") who plays Lindsay.

Brian Levant most recently directed the comedy "Snow Dogs," starring Cuba Gooding Jr. His other feature credits include "The Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas," "The Flintstones," "Beethoven" and "Problem Child 2."
