Facebook Marketing Schedule

With business pages on Facebook continuing to gain momentum, many are now asking “what do I do?”? For many people, having a business page (i.e. Fan Page) is like having a website; “you should just have one”. Adding another expense, in any economy, isn’t a great idea. While the biggest companies may certainly put one up and throw millions of dollars in advertising at it, that isn’t realistic for most business owners.

To get the most out of your business page on Facebook, requires a marketing schedule. This marketing schedule doesn’t mean you will constantly blast them with offers to buy. You can’t just tell your audience what you are doing and “hope” they will invest in your products or services. And you can’t hope on simple conversation to add serious revenue for your business. In order to get results from your business page we invite you to consider the following to help you create a powerful Facebook Marketing Schedule.

1.Regularity of Updates – How often are you sharing with those who have “liked” your page? Once a day? Once a week? The news feed constantly shares the latest information from pages and people that are connected. To get the most out of the news feed requires at least an update a day. For now you can live with updates during the business week, but if competition increases you might consider doing updates on the weekend as well.

2.Variety of Updates – Are you only sharing text updates? Are you pushing out video? Pictures? Facebook makes it easy to share a variety of media. Pictures tend to spread quickly, generate comments, and with the right photos even generate sales. By providing your audience with a variety of updates they will eagerly check what you are sharing and they will engage in the media that they like best.

3. Traffic Strategy – A nice looking business page without a traffic strategy is like a great store in the middle of the desert. As you are developing your plan, consider having a Facebook marketing strategy that incorporates multiple methods of traffic. This could include social plugins, facebook ads, email blasts to your database and more. Having a balance of traffic methods will give you a great opportunity to engage a balance of prospects and customers.

When you create your Facebook marketing schedule to consistently reach your audience, have a variety of updates and incorporate a solid traffic strategy you will have a business presence on Facebook that generates conversation and sales.
