Getting Started: Easter
Getting Started: Easter
Our Easter table decoration idea makes it easy to decorate once and be done. With just a few simple changes, this budget but beautiful Easter table idea will carry you from Easter through Mother’s Day.
We'll start with the Easter table, since this tends to be the first major holiday of Spring. (No offense to all who love that Irish leprechaun!)
The Easter table decoration was inexpensive and easy to assemble, and will look great long past Easter.
Simple remove the white letters and the bird's nests to transition into Spring.
If you already have white dinnerware like I did, this will take $7 or more off of your total bill. The blue salad plates can be found at Target, and Target also has white dinner plates to match. All of the other items came from Jo-Ann Fabric & Craft or Hobby Lobby. Don't forget to use coupons!
Easter Place Setting
This Easter place setting was easy and economical to pull together. The plates are standard dinnerware, but with floral napkins and jelly-bean-filled bird's nests, there is nothing standard about this table!
Floral Table Runner
These Mother's Day decorations for your table only take about 10 minutes to complete. The table is already set from Easter, so with a few minor changes and a quick craft project, you'll have a springtime and Mother's Day table to be proud of!
What mother wouldn't love sitting down to a table lavishly decorated just for her? The best gift is time spent with Mom, so bake or purchase small desserts and host a small tea for the two of you.

Easter Place Setting
This Easter place setting was easy and economical to pull together. The plates are standard dinnerware, but with floral napkins and jelly-bean-filled bird's nests, there is nothing standard about this table!
- These earth-friendly napkin rings are made completely from leftover materials. Our step-by-step instructions will tell you how.
- Dainty birds nests are filled with yummy, colorful jelly beans. These birds nests were purchased premade, but with a little bit of straw and floral wire, it would be easy (and cheap!) to make your own.
- No expensive napkins needed. Cut fabric scraps into squares and let edges fray naturally.
Floral Table Runner
- This beautiful yet easy-to-make table runner project can be completed in less than an hour. No sewing skills required!
- We decorated the table runner by stenciling the fabric with a simple floral pattern, and then attached a ribbon trim.
These Mother's Day decorations for your table only take about 10 minutes to complete. The table is already set from Easter, so with a few minor changes and a quick craft project, you'll have a springtime and Mother's Day table to be proud of!
- After Easter has passed, remove the letters and the bird's nest. Your table is now ready for Spring!
- For Mother's Day, you'll need two more white letters. Use "M"s to replace the "H" and the "P" that were used to spell "HOP" on your Easter table. Your centerpiece now celebrates "MOM."
- A simple craft project of ladies' tea hats replaces the Easter bird's nests.
What mother wouldn't love sitting down to a table lavishly decorated just for her? The best gift is time spent with Mom, so bake or purchase small desserts and host a small tea for the two of you.
- If you would also like to give Mom another gift or two, the presents wrapped in floral papers would also make a lovely centerpiece.
- The napkins, napkin rings and plates are the same ones used for our Easter table. And these basic colors can be used all year long. (Dress the blue with orange, greens and gold to bring your table into Autumn.)
- These cute doll hat decorations are perfect for a springtime table, and they are inexpensive and easy to make.
