I found out about this campground through an Internet search for Hatteras campgrounds, and I tent camped there in September 2009.

Describe your camping trip:

The campground was very clean, and the people who ran the place were super nice. We had a nice spot with a lot of trees. The restrooms were very clean.

Pros: Very clean, friendly staff, inexpensive.

Cons: We could not have a campfire on our site.

There were no grills on the sites, but you could bring your own grill.

Nearby attractions: The beach was only a 5 minute drive.

Further comments: If you have 4 wheel drive, you can drive right onto the beach.
