HP Pavilion Slimline S5220F Desktop Review
Specifications: Among all the new desktop series that has been launched this year, one of my favorites would still have to be the HP Pavilion Slimline desktop range.
The desktops from this series are compact, affordable and come with a set of very competent specs.
The HP Pavilion Slimline S5220F for instance comes with 2.
6Ghz processor, 4GB of DDR2 RAM and 640GB for storage (7200RMP SATA hard drive).
For graphics rendering, this laptop has the Intel GMA 2100 graphics card.
Connectivity wise, this model has 6 USB ports, a memory card reader, and a built in 56k modem.
It is configurable to support up to a total of 6 speakers (HD audio) and it also has a DVD drive.
This model runs on the new Windows 7 Home Premium operating system (64 bit).
Design: The HP Pavilion Slimline S5220F measures at 15.
91 x 4.
43 x 12.
14 inches, which is relatively compact for a tower style desktop.
There is a strip of blue indicator light on the top on the desktop that gives it a futuristic touch.
The front panel has a glossy black surface.
All in all, this model looks very contemporary and stylish.
Features & Performance: With the use of a powerful processor and lots of RAM, the HP Pavilion Slimline S5220F is well suited to handle a variety of moderate and heavy computing tasks.
The huge 640GB hard drive also provides us much more storage than most of us will ever need (but would be a delight for those who have large collections of music and movie files).
Despite all the great features, the HP Pavilion Slimline S5220F is very modestly priced.
At the moment, this desktop is retailing for just around $469 per unit.
