How to Hang Mosquito Netting
- 1). Choose a net with the appropriate dimensions. The mosquito net will need to be an inch or two wider, taller and longer than the space. Otherwise, mosquitoes may still get past the net.
- 2). Hang an indoor mosquito net designed to go over beds by affixing the top loops to the ceiling. To do this, use four screw hooks that extend about an inch outside of each bed post. Drill a hole for each screw hook and then screw the hooks into the ceiling. Drape each loop of the top of the mosquito net over each hook. Pull the side panels of the mosquito net over each side of the bed.
- 3). Attach an outdoor mosquito net using screw hooks. Affix the screws in a line to the top of your porch or other location in which you want to hang the net. If the top of the net has loops for affixing to hooks, use as many hooks as there are loops and then attach them to the hooks. If there are no loops, position the hooks approximately 5 inches apart and loop a piece of netting over each hook.
- 4). Use a self-hanging mosquito net for temporary cover around tables and other outdoor areas. Some home supply and specialty stores make nets that come with a frame designed to be used as a temporary mosquito solution. Follow the directions for putting together the frame and then place the mosquito net in the area in which you desire coverage.
