How to Make a Helmet in ZBrush
- 1). Start the ZBrush application. Go to the "Document" panel and enter the width and height you want for the document.
- 2). Go to the "Tool" panel and click on the "Sphere." Go to "Tools" and click "Modifiers." From the options, choose "Initialize." In the dialog box, set the "Hdivide" to 512 and the "Vdivide" to 256.
- 3). Go to the "Viewport" and drag out the sphere you want to use as the basis of your helmet. Select the "Move" tool and begin sculpting the shape of your helmet. Push the bottom of the sphere up and inward to form a concavity. If you get it wrong, press "CTRL + Z" to undo it and try again.
- 4). Go to the "Draw" panel and make the size of the tool smaller. Drag it to pull the edges of your helmet outward slightly to form a narrow brim. If your helmet has a ridge at the top, drag the tool to pull this area up. Save your work.
