How to Block an Email on Google
- 1). Log in to your Gmail account.
- 2). Click the blue "Create a Filter" link located to the right of the "Search the Web" button at the top of the screen. The Web page expands with a list of filter options.
- 3). Adjust what criteria is used to determine whether or not to filter a message. You can delete emails based on the sender, the recipient name, the subject, or whether the body of the email either contains or doesn't contain specific sets of words.
- 4). Click the "Next Step" button after choosing your filter criteria.
- 5). Check the "Delete It" option box.
- 6). Click "Create Filter" to apply the filter to any messages you receive in the future. Gmail now automatically deletes emails that meet the filter criteria.
