Treating Poison Oak or Poison Ivy With Listerine

• Moisten a cotton ball or pad with Listerine and apply to the affected area. You can also fill a spray bottle with Listerine and spray it on. The Listerine will stop the itch and also helps the rash heal. Reapply when the itching starts again.

• Fill a spray bottle with Listerine and spray it around areas you want to keep free of mosquitoes. You can also apply it to your skin. There is anecdotal evidence that this works although it has not been proven.
  If your boots give you blisters, drain the blisters with a sterilized needle and then apply Listerine to dry up the blisters.
  In a pinch, slosh it on cuts and scrapes to kill germs.
