Listerine Cures for Poison Oak or Ivy
- Moisten a cotton ball or pad with Listerine and apply to the affected area. You can also fill a spray bottle with Listerine and spray it on. The Listerine will stop the itch and also helps the rash heal. Reapply when the itching starts again.
- Listerine is an alcohol-based antiseptic with a blend of essential oils including eucalyptus and menthol. This combination gives it both antifungal and soothing capabilities.
- Fill a spray bottle with Listerine and spray it around areas you want to keep free of mosquitoes. You can also apply it to your skin. There is anecdotal evidence that this works although it has not been proven.
