The Root of All Anxiety Attacks is Fear
Maybe you are afraid of closed spaces or maybe you are afraid of driving.
No matter what it is, a strong intense fear will cause you to panic.
When you start to panic you will begin to experience shortness of breath, dizziness, rapid heart beat, shaking, sweating and a host of others.
Remember, all of this comes about because you have a strong fear of something.
So how can you stop the panic attacks? What should you do? Well one thing you can do is face your fears head on.
You take control.
Don't let the fear control you.
If you have a fear of driving then go drive a car.
Don't get out on a busy highway.
Drive down the block from your house or somewhere you know there isn't a lot traffic.
Have a friend or family member that you trust go with you the first few times.
The purpose of someone going with you is so they can help you stay calm and get through the task at hand.
Write down a few words or phrases that will help you stay calm.
You can even take some music with you.
Some music has a great calming effect.
The idea is to put your mind in a very calm, yet positive state.
An effective Panic Disorder Treatment is to learn to talk to yourself.
Look yourself in the mirror and say "I can do this".
Say "I control these panic attacks, they don't control me".
Say "I am an overcomer".
Speak positive words to and about yourself.
I know this sounds really simple but it really can help you out.
Im not going to say your never going to be afraid again but I will say if you learn how to calm yourself down and stay focused you can make it through anything.
