Instructions for Black Flame Candles
- 1). Add the wax to the glass bowl and microwave it on high for about two minutes or until it is completely melted.
- 2). Stir in the black lamp oil and the blue candle pigment. Make sure to stir it quickly and thoroughly. You can find the colored lamp oil and pigment in craft and hobby supply shops and online.
- 3). Drop the wick into the bottom of the candle jar, allowing the metal anchor to sit in the very center of the bottom. Hang the length of the wick over the lip of the jar so that it doesn't fall inside. Make sure to use a long wick, about 10 inches, so that you have plenty to work with.
- 4). Pour the melted candle wax into the jar. Let it sit for about five hours to completely harden.
- 5). Snip the wick till only about a 1/2 inch protrudes from the candle. Once lit, the flame will flicker with a bluish-black glow.
