Why Yahoo Is the Best Fantasy Baseball Site

This article contains the reasons that I feel Yahoo is the best location for fantasy sports. Not only do I love it for baseball and suggest that all of my followers use it this season for their baseball leagues but also for other fantasy sports. I am a pretty loyal customer with most of my purchases and have been using Yahoo for quite some time. I am going to tell you why in the following paper.
Yahoo was one of the first explorers in the fantasy sports genre. I began my first fantasy sports team back in 2003 and Yahoo was the platform I chose to use. I began with them and have remained loyal to them even until this year. While I have tried other sites I have not found any other sites that I prefer more than Yahoo. Two of the main reasons I stand by their product is the consistency and excellent formatting. Their product is very user friendly and I feel that it is as easy as it gets as far as navigation on any fantasy sports domain. Although you can customize your league settings on almost all sites, the yahoo standard scoring system is the best in my opinion. I tend to use their standard scoring system for the most part and make small adjustments to preferences accordingly. Their standard scoring uses whole numbers which is great compared to sites that use decimals for scoring. An example is when sites use.25 for a single.50 for a double,.75 for a triple and 1 for a homerun. With multiple players playing at the same time it can be tough to do the correct math in your head to keep up with the action.
Yahoo simplifies their process by scoring offensive categories such as Runs, On Base Percentage, Homeruns, Stolen Bases, and Runs Batted In and just keeps a continuous count for them amongst both teams. This makes it very easy to total manually and tell who is winning. They do the same thing with their pitching categories. The categories for pitching are Wins, Earned Run Average, Strikeouts, Walks Hits per inning pitched, and Saves. They are again just counted by whoever earns the most in those categories.
I have used such sites as ESPN.com, MLB.com, and CBSsports.com with CBSsports.com being the closest competitor in my opinion. Also, the Yahoo mobile app is very user friendly and makes it very easy to access and manage your team from your phone. You can set your lineup, make trades, pickup free agents, and post messages all from your phone. This engages the players and provides a solid product.
When it comes to money leagues Yahoo is among the top. Their payouts are: $500 for 1st place, $300 for 2nd place, and $100 for 1st place. This is a fair pricing payout layout and think that most users would agree. Fantasy baseball is not all skill so the 200 dollar spread between places evens things out for the competition.
Overall I feel that Yahoo is the best fantasy sports provider and would suggest their site to anyone looking for a consistent yet user friendly platform to use in their fantasy baseball league.
