Ethanol is good stuff to run our cars on because we can grow it here, providing we have water supplies and this will help America break her addiction to Middle Eastern Foreign Oil.
But how much can you save if you buy Ethanol or an Ethanol Blend over regular gasoline? Well right now quite a bit, about $.
50 difference.
But even with this savings there are a couple of things to consider.
Ethanol Blends work a lot better when the ambient temperature is higher and you get 15% boost for using it.
When it is colder you have less efficiency and power than gasoline so during the cold winter you may have 10-15% less power and efficiency meaning it takes 10-15% more fuel to do the same thing as gasoline.
And of course that is about the amount you would save in using ethanol over gasoline.
So, it is relatively the same price in that regard.
Nevertheless, it is made by us in the Mid West rather than brought over from the Middle East.
This means our farmers get the money, not those who maybe in cahoots with those who wish us ill.
So, ethanol has its good points and not so good points, however all in all, it is a very good thing indeed.
