How to Change Folder Options to View TIFF Files in Windows Vista
- 1). Click "Start" and click on "Default Programs" on the right side of the Start menu. A new window appears.
- 2). Click "Associate a file type or protocol with a program." A list appears with all known file types.
- 3). Scroll through the list and locate the ".tiff" extension under the "Name" heading. Click on it. Note that the file extensions are in alphabetical order.
- 4). Click the "Change Program" button located in the upper right corner of the window. A new window appears.
- 5). Select one of the programs from the "Recommended Programs" list, or click the "Other Programs" down-arrow and select one of the other programs that you want to use to open TIFF files. If the program you want to use is not listed under "Recommended Programs" or "Other Programs," click "Browse" and navigate to the location of the .exe file of the program you want to use to open TIFF files.
- 6). Click "OK," then click "Close" to save your changes.
