How Does a Fujikura 900 Massage Chair Rate?

In two words: very well.
There are quite a few reasons that make any of the 3 models of Fujikura massage chair a superior product including styling, features, warranty, and being generously sized to accommodate every build type.
What follows is a review of the 900 robotic massage chair; what features it has and what features it lacks.
If you want the best robotic massage chair you really do have to buy Japanese.
There's no disputing this.
Japan is the world's most competitive market and a recent report states that 22% of households own one - they take massage chairs seriously in Japan.
For any company to survive, its products have to be of the best quality, offering new innovative technology, outstanding warranties and offer value for money.
So, if you really want the best you must buy a Japanese model, whether it's a Fujikura, Fuji, Inada or Sanyo massage chair.
Here's what the Fujikura 900 massage chair has to offer and how it rates against its Japanese competitors.
The 900 is the most expensive of the Fujikura models on offer.
It looks very stylish and contemporary and comes in faux leather in brown, ivory or black.
Like all Fujikura chairs it is generously sized and can accommodate large American frames.
Also, it comes with a vertical roller length of 29".
This is a good length as cheaper chairs from other manufacturers come with an average length of around 22-24".
The Sanyo HEC-SR1000K massage chair, which costs 50% more, only comes with a vertical roller length of 25".
You would have to upgrade to the Sanyo HEC-SA5000K to get a comparable length of 28" but this model costs nearly twice as much as the 900.
Inada chairs also match the roller length but they cost even more than a Sanyo.
The 900 has 6 motors, 8 rollers and 32 airbags - the Sanyo HEC-SA5000K comes with only 3 motors, 5 rollers and far less airbags and even the Sanyo HEC-SA5000K only comes with 6 motors and 4 rollers.
Again, you get more for your money with the Fujikura 900 chair.
The 900 chair comes with power recline with 120 to 170 degrees and has heat massage in the footrests; features that match other Japanese models.
But, if there is one complaint against this Fujikura massage chair it has to be the number and type of massage programs provided.
True, you get kneading, tapping and synch mode (melding of the two main functions of the chair).
There are a total of 5 automatic massage modes and a further possible 4 custom massage modes.
There is a locate function so you can massage your whole body, part or even a specific point.
This sounds pretty impressive, and it is when compared to most brands.
But, when compared to the likes of Sony and Inada it can seem pretty restricted.
The HEC-SA5000K Sanyo massage chair comes with a Stiffness Detection Sensor.
This is a very sophisticated piece of technology that will automatically adapt the chair and the massage to help relax specific areas of the body (it works by monitoring temperature and perspiration during a short evaluation period).
The SA5000 also comes with something called GK Roller Technology.
This function mimics the grasping and kneading of live massage through finger-like rollers that reach out and massage the shoulders and neck area.
It's the implementation of this cutting-edge technology that makes the Sanyo more expensive - and maybe better.
If you want a very good, Japanese designed robotic massage chair that offers great value for your money then you should take a close look at what the Fujikura 900 massage chair has to offer.
If you do want to upgrade to a chair with more features - like a Sanyo massage chair - you're going to have to pay nearly twice the price but for most the 900 is not going to disappoint.
