How to Create Bubble Lettering in Photoshop
- 1). Open Photoshop and click "File." Click "New" and type "Bubbles" into the Name field. Enter dimensions in the Width and Height boxes for the bubble letter canvas. Click "inches" from the two drop-down selectors and click the "OK" button. The bubble letter canvas opens.
- 2). Click the "Type" tool, symbolized by the "T" icon on the Tools pane. Pull down the "Font" menu and choose a rounded font such as Bauhaus 93, Cooper Standard or Arial Rounded MT Bold, all which are included in Photoshop.
- 3). Select the "Bold" option from the drop-down next to the font menu where applicable. Select the size for the bubble letters -- the larger the font, the bigger the bubbles.
- 4). Click in the unlabeled color rectangle on the toolbar and choose a color for the bubble letter outline.
- 5). Click the "Bubbles" canvas and type your desired text.
- 6). Open the "Layer Style" window by double-clicking the new text layer on the Layers palette.
- 7). Click the "Pattern Overlay" line under "Styles" to highlight it in blue and open its dialog window. Click in the "Pattern" box and choose the "Bubbles" pattern, which is standard in all Photoshop versions. Click "OK" and the letters appear filled with bubbles.
