At some point, everyone needs to know how to mend a broken heart.
When someone you love is no longer in your life, it may feel as though everything has changed.
That may be true to some extent, but rest assured there are still things about you that were there long before your ex came into your life.
Right now, you need to return to those things and remember what made you an individual.
Tip 1: Make the Strengths List Create a list of your personal strengths and positive traits.
Let this list remind you of why you are a valuable person who can survive a break up.
Keep your list close by.
You do not have to display it constantly, but consider folding it and tucking it in a pocket or drawer in case you want to look at it later as a reminder.
Tip 2: Get in Shape and Eat Healthy Being healthy does so much more than make you look good.
It can lift your spirits and make your mind sharper.
Work on a better diet and add exercise to your weekly schedule.
If you already do these things, make a point to adhere to them.
You may have the urge to skip the workout while you mourn the relationship.
Avoid this urge and let the workout help you burn off energy and negativity at the same time.
Tip 3: Get Creative and Get Feelings Out Take up a creative hobby and use it to rid yourself of negative feelings.
Pen your emotions in a poem or story or paint them on canvas.
Do whatever you prefer and use your emotions constructively by creating something new.
You may even discover a talent you had no idea you had!
