Go Green It’s For Everyone
When I had a chance to view a few websites, I was surprised that one in particular had caught my eye and it was based on the fact that I compared it to another package on which worked the best on why and how to go green. This was actually talking about how to convert your home into a go green project. When you think about it, to go green you can start by removing the old Styrofoam cups and plates and working with recyclables. Then as you go forward you start looking at the various things in your home to see where you can start replacing items that will help with energy savings and possibly start with the light bulbs.
Some of the items that were discussed on this website were presented on a video that was included in the package and would walk you through building a solar panel for your home, if you had the space. Then the project went on to discuss an avenue of storing power for batteries. This package was designed with eBooks to cover various topics that covered solar panels and a windmill. These were all great ideas and things an everyday person does not think of off the top of their head and would need to be encouraged to try. I found it interesting and informative all at the same time and found myself wanting to learn more.
The the other package I viewed were using established criteria in the judging of the other project. The projects included Green Power, Ease of Building, Cost of Building and Overall Rating. The rating scale I personally used ranged from one to five stars with five being the best. It was interesting to see the other website and I did not care for the other package that was presented simply in text form. In fact, I rated it the lowest of the two packages presented. The one package that was of a higher rating included videos and books plus information and instruction on how one may build the item to go green. We all know that if one person a day can go green we will make the world a better place. It will take the continued efforts for others to understand how if they go green they are helping the bigger picture.
