Red Ring of Death Fix Videos - Read This Before You Watch!

You have to read this before you watch the red ring of death fix videos! There are some techniques that are promoted that may not be altogether safe for your XBox 360.
You don't want to put yours at risk so read on.
You have probably searched online for possible solutions to the problem.
And you have probably stumbled on various solutions that people have posted about.
I've seen one where they wrap the console inside a towel and then let it run until just before it cooks itself.
This is what I mean when I say there is risk! This is assuming that a loose graphics processor is at fault.
Supposedly, the overheating will cause the solder to start to melt and in the process hopefully reattach the graphics processor.
Now, the issue with this method is that for one, it's not permanent, and two, heat and electronics are not the best of friends.
I've worked in IT before and one of the requirements of the server room is that it be kept at or around 60 degrees Fahrenheit 24/7! Humidity should always be above 30%.
Anything lower and there could be a risk of static shock ruining some internal chips.
Electronics generally run much better the colder it gets.
This is going off on a tangent, but there is a piece that is called a superconductor and when you freeze it way down to near 0 Kelvin, it starts to produce electricity and magnetism on its own! Anyways, this is just to say that you really shouldn't have your XBox 360 superheated.
So, what can you do? While it is true that the majority of cases does involve a loose graphics processor, the problem does not always lie there.
The red ring of death can be cause by other things as well.
Unless you know for sure where the problem lies, I would not follow any video I see.
You have to diagnose the problem first.
