How to Use a Bayonet Wire Cutter
- 1). Remove the bayonet from its scabbard.
- 2). Flip the scabbard over. Locate the wire-cutter plate on the backside of the scabbard.
- 3). Fit the stud on the wire-cutter plate into the hole on the bayonet. The false blade, or back edge, of the bayonet should face toward the tip of the scabbard and the wire-cutting notch. The bayonet should now be securely attached to the scabbard.
- 4). Insert the wire you wish to cut into the notch above the false blade of the bayonet.
- 5). While holding the scabbard securely in one hand, push the knife handle down and away from the wire-cutting area with your other hand. The false blade will cut the wire as it moves across the notch.
