How to Hang a Dart Board in a Basement
- 1). Mark a 4-foot by 4-foot square on the plywood and cut out the area. Mount the dartboard to the center of the square and use the plywood as the protective area.
- 2). Measure 5 foot 8 inches from the ground and mark the spot on the wall. This is the standard height for a dartboard. The measurement from the ground is to the bullseye. Push the earthquake tape or putty onto the back of the board in five places. Place a piece of putty or tape in the center and four around the perimeter of the dart board. Press the dartboard onto the plywood in the center of the square to set the tape or putty.
- 3). Assign an assistant the job of holding the dartboard and plywood up to the wall while you align the bullseye to the mark on the wall. Press earthquake tape to the back of the plywood at the corners and middle of the square.
- 4). Press the plywood onto the basement wall so the bullseye lines up with the wall marking. Measure, from the wall, a distance of 7 feet 9 1/4 inches from the dartboard. Mark the floor with a piece of tape at this point, called the oche. Throw from the oche to the dart board.
