How to Keep Less History to Speed Up POPFile

106 47
After POPFile has classified a message you downloaded, it keeps a copy so you can correct its classification if it was mistaken, an essential (though fortunately not that frequent) task if you want to get the most out of POPFile.

Naturally, these archived messages not only take up space, a big archive can also slow down POPFile quite a bit. Getting to messages to re-classify them may not be as instant as it was when POPFile was freshly installed.

Fortunately, POPFile keeps track of the messages in its store and automatically cleans up old emails. Depending on how often you check your mail and correct POPFile errors, you can optimize the history of messages kept by POPFile. There is no need to keep 20 days of emails and spam if you go through your mail every day. Two or three days of history should be enough.
